Golf Guide Summer Tour - Pairs event

24 events across the UK - 24 Pairs winning a place in the European Finals - hosted at Sunset Beach Club, La Cala Golf Resort and Solheim Cup Venue - Finca Cortesin*.  Winners of the European Grand Final will receive a 7day all inclusive unlimited golf package courtesy of The Golf Travel Centre - destination tbc.

The following events will qualify for an automatic trip to Spain:- St Andrews, Shropshire Masters, Highland Classic, Carus Green /Windermere, Close House, Woburn, Forest of Arden, Moortown/Alwoodley,  Formby GC/ Formby Ladies & Monte Rei.  The rest of the events will be part of an Order of Merit with the Top 15 places to be invited to the European Finals.  The Order of Merit points are as follows:- 15 points for 1st place, 14 for 2nd, 13 for 3rd and so on plus 2 appearance points for every event you attend.  Best 4 scores to count plus unlimited appearance points

The Spain prize will be 3 Nights B&B at Sunset Beach Club with 2 rounds of golf at La Cala Resort and a round at Finca Cortesin *supplement of £100 per person.  Transfers to and from the hotel and all golf inc.  The trip is scheduled for Jan 2023.

The Golf Guide Tour is sponsored by Callaway Golf, Travis Matthews, The Golf Travel Centre and Depth Charge Design - Lots of great prizes to win.  Prizes of up to 5th place, plus NP's on all the par 3's and 5's.

Players must have an active official club handicap with the maxim shot received being 18 for Men / 24 for ladies
Events are played from the competition Tee of the day using the new WHO slope index and playing off 3/4 of the players handicap.

Formby Golf club prides itself on its course and its hospitality, the “Formby Experience” being the cornerstone of everything we do. The club, founded in 1884, is steeped in history and rightly proud of its place at the top of the golfing globe.

Formby Ladies Golf Club

Formby Ladies Golf Club, founded in 1896, is situated at the heart of “England’s Golf Coast”, a 30 mile stretch of fabulous Lancashire coastline. Here you will find twenty links golf courses, including three Royals, our near neighbour Royal Birkdale, Royal Lytham to the north and Royal Liverpool to the south.

The course is set amongst coastal sand dunes and towering pines, adjacent to Formby Golf Club, with tight fairways, heathery rough and well protected greens. It provides visitors with a varied challenge and rewards accurate golf with careful course management. An enjoyable test for all handicaps!
