Bakewell Golf Club was founded in 1899 after the course had been built to specific designs laid out by George Lowe, the Carnoustie born pro-greenkeeper turned pro-golf course designer. This 9 hole, 18 tee course offers golfers of all standards a testing but enjoyable challenge. The course is laid out on some particularly undulating ground and perfect for golfers who like a challenge. It poses a fine test of your golfing ability and continues to attract the discerning club golfers from all across Derbyshire – and beyond.
Our clubhouse has all the facilities you’d expect – changing rooms, showers and lockers. It also has a bar and catering facilities so you can unwind after your round of golf and get the chance to meet other members. The clubhouse is available to hire for private functions and is ideal for wedding receptions, anniversaries or birthday parties. Please contact us for more details if there is anything you wish to know.
Bakewell Golf Club is in an ideal location for golfers just wishing to spend a few days in the Peak District. There is so much to do and see and we always welcome golfers who fancy a quick round whilst traveling around.
The course is a compact 9 holes running out and back along the hillside to the East of the town. Although only 5244 Yards in length (Par 68, SSS 66) for the Men and 4681 Yards. (Par 69, SSS 68) for the Ladies, the course is challenging and tricky with small, fast greens that have deceptive borrows. Allied to the natural contours of the hillside, players will enjoy the variety of shot making required.
