Carus Green Golf Club is situated in the charming market town of Kendal, on the fringes of the Lake District. Widely regarded as offering some of the best golfing facilities in the North of England, Carus Green features a challenging 18-hole parkland golf course aside the River Kent, with recently remodelled USGA specification greens.
The Gary Wolstenholme Golf Academy features a 16 bay top specification driving range, two bespoke flightscope fitting rooms, an indoor putting lab, chipping and putting green, outdoor all weather short game practice area and state of the art GC2 golf simulator, featuring courses such as Blue Monster, Carnoustie and Kingsbarns.
Carus Green breaks the golf club mould in so many ways and is renowned for its friendly welcome to all visitors. Its award winning contemporary clubhouse houses a luxurious function suite with stunning views overlooking the picturesque 18th hole to the Lake District fells beyond, making it the perfect venue for weddings, conferences, parties and other celebrations. The Lounge Bar and Grill Restaurant, with the same views over the course, is open to Golfers and non Golfers and offers some of the best cuisine in the area.
A well-stocked shop offers the very best golf brands such as Galvin Green, Nike, J Lindeberg FootJoy, Callaway, Ping, Titleist, Cobra, Wilson and TaylorMade. Five PGA Professional golfers are on hand to provide tuition, advice, a bespoke service at the club fitting centre and collectively, offer many years of experience, having worked with players such as Seve Ballesteros and Nicolas Colsaerts.
With on-site accommodation for more than 60 people in their Townhouses, Lodge, and Golfers Apartments, and the added stunning Carus House, part of our Premier Collection. We also have 3 properties off site, Cleabarrow Cottage opposite Windermere GC sleeps 12, Cherry Trees is slightly nearer to Bowness and overlooks Lake Windermere, that sleeps 10 and soon to be completed, our newest addition, Howe Top, which is situated in Bowness and will sleep 10. This is a stunning house with elevated views over Windermere as well as the Lake.
