The picturesque parkland course set in Chapel-en-le-Frith presents a challenging test for all golfers
combined with an easy walking course.  As you approach through the foothills of the Pennines you could be mistaken for anticipating quite a stiff walking test here in the High Peak. Nothing could be further from the truth.
Nestling in the valley between Whaley Bridge and Chapel-en-le-Frith, the course is built on gentle rolling
parkland surrounded by the magnificent scenery of the Peak District. The peaks act merely as a
beautiful backdrop to add to your experience.

Set on the edge of a lake with stunning views of Castle Naze, Chapel has some fantastic views that make
you want to come back again and again. One of the most beautiful holes on the course is undoubtedly the par five 15 th , which has the lake running along its length and as you play directly down the valley, with the hills rising around you, the views are truly breath taking.

Founded in 1905, Chapel was a challenging 9 hole course until the early 1970’s when legendary golf architects, Peter Alliss and Dave Thomas, combined to produce the design for a further 9 holes. With the later acquisition of even more land enabling the original nine holes to be revamped, the resulting 18 hole course measures 6400 yards and is a par 72 for men and 73 for ladies and is a real hidden gem. The course is surprisingly flat, being situated in the bottom of the valley with stunning views of the surrounding peak district hills from every hole.

Chapel Golf Club is in the heart of the High Peak in Derbyshire, 13 miles south of Stockport, we are close to Buxton, Bakewell and picturesque Castleton.

The Clubhouse and Catering Facilities
The first floor lounge, dining area and balcony boast excellent views over the 18th green and the beautiful Peak District scenery beyond. The new alfresco area, overlooking the 1st tee and 18 th green, is a great place for a cool refreshing drink in a beautiful setting before or after your round.

The clubhouse bar and catering services, provided by the Celebrate Catering Team, are open daily all year round and visitors are welcome to enjoy our facilities in the main lounge or the alfresco area.  Looking for a venue with a view? We can accommodate up to 80 guests – for private parties, weddings, funerals or business meetings - or the room can be divided into smaller meeting areas.

The Pro Shop
Nigel Parkinson, AA PGA Professional, provides an excellent service, including expert tuition, custom fitting and equipment advice to both members and visitors alike.  The shop is stocked by Snainton Golf and gives access to all of the leading brands at internet prices.  As the Pro shop is most golfers’ first point of call, the Professional’s team promote a sense of ease to everyone who enters and are here to help you with any of your needs before or after your round with information on the golf course, membership options and equipment.

Golfers can now benefit from all year round golf in a warm, dry environment, regardless of weather conditions, with our golf simulator Swing Studio.  Our Professional, Nigel Parkinson, offers lessons on the latest Skytrak golf launch monitor, providing immediate feedback on every shot with instant 3D visualisation powered by Skytrak's advanced flight model and ball spin measurement. Golfers are able to play some of the world’s most famous courses in a stunning high definition virtual environment, practice, challenge your friends or enjoy tournaments.
