Located less than 2 miles from Durham's iconic Cathedral and set in 150 acres of stunning parkland, Durham City Golf Club truly is one of the best kept golfing secrets of the North East and is a must visit for any visiting party.
It's testing layout with big, fast and undulating greens makes it a great test for any standard of golfer. As the home of the Durham County Golf Union, the club has hosted a number of big amateur events such as the English Girls Amateur Championship. Most recently, The Yorkshire County Men's team visited to take on County Durham in a League contest.
Each hole is beautifully enveloped in trees, but without doubt the most spectacular is the 3rd (pictured) which offers an elevated tee shot to a dog leg left fairway flanked by trouble left and right. The tee boxes are flat, the fairways are lush and the greens are undulating and fast. The gentle terrain means you won't feel too physically taxed when you make it back to our recently renovated clubhouse.
Durham City Golf Club has established links with some of the best local hotels at very competitive rates.
