Perched on top of a hill and surrounded by cliff faces Llanymynech Golf Club offers a challenge to all golfers from the aspiring amateur to the seasoned pro. Stunning views of the Shropshire countryside and Welsh Hills are inspiring.

The ground staff have been working extremely hard to construct new EcoBunkers and are maintaining the course in excellent condition ready for when we are up and running again after the enforced closure.

The course at Llanymynech boasts a unique claim to fame as the only golf course in the UK to cross national borders, courtesy of Offa’s Dyke running through our course. On the fourth hole you tee off in Wales and putt out in England. The 5th and 6th holes remain in England before you are welcomed back to Wales as you walk to the 7th tee.

The Club prides itself in offering a first class golf experience and a warm welcome to our members, old and new, and visitors to our course.

Gem of a track and fantastic Golf Guide event (as expected). Views from the golf course are outstanding and on a good day you see for miles in every direction. You’re also above helicopters at times which is unusual.

The course itself was impeccable when we played and we were fortunate enough to play with two local members (one being a past captain). There are some very interesting holes that require a little more than a straight hit and you also need to have your wits about you.

Difficult to comment on hospitality and service because of Covid-19 rules at the time, but for what was available, everything was great and ran like clockwork.

Amazing experience playing a golf course that is in two countries (England and Wales) and overall I will definitely be back to play again (and no doubt some holes differently!)
