Established in 1908 on the northern edge of the ancient Cathedral city, beautiful and peaceful surroundings provide a fabulous golfing experience. The panoramic views of the nearby Yorkshire hills, Ripon Cathedral, and the surrounding countryside serve up the perfect backdrop to a spectacular golf course which is a delightful test for players of all abilities.
The parkland course is undulating in part, with a wide variety of holes and some outstanding par 3’s.

Visitors always receive a warm welcome as Ripon continues to receive accolades, particularly for the greens, which are always excellently presented. The course drains superbly, rarely closes, sees very few restrictions, and does not use fairway mats in winter.

Ripon is a popular destination for visiting parties, who take advantage of great value packages, though days can carefully be tailored to your own special requirements.

New members are always welcome, with options to suit everyone from beginner to experienced golfer, and for both regular and occasional players. Fees are extremely competitive and provide tremendous value for the excellent course and facilities. There is currently no joining fee, and all memberships include a discount card for food and drink.
Members can play in competitions throughout the year. Every section is well supported, and a great “roll-up” culture exists allowing new members to quickly integrate into the club. Reciprocal arrangements with 3 fine Yorkshire clubs, plus regular free exchange days make membership tremendous value.

The modern clubhouse offers a wonderful panorama of 4 greens, and the new balcony is now open, providing the perfect place to enjoy the very best in Yorkshire hospitality and home cooked cuisine, and relax for those post golf refreshments.
