Towneley Golf Course was originally established in 1932 as 9 hole layout, but was later expanded to the current 5834 yard, par 70 course. Set in mature parkland, Towneley is a good test of golf despite its short length. Well placed hazards and small, fast greens make it a challenge for any ability of golfer.
Over the past 10 years our greens staff have improved the course to make it a more challenging test of golf. Certain holes on the front nine have been re-numbered to speed up play. The 3rd now incorporates 2 ponds. Several ditches have been opened to improve drainage, and additional bunkers have been put in. As a result of these changes the course is now in very good condition throughout the year.
