Sometimes looks can be deceiving – Cavendish Golf Course is full of beauty and amazing views of the Derbyshire countryside – add some wind in the mix and the course has a tendency to show its darker more sadistic side – or maybe the green keeper had a bad nights sleep considering some of the pin positions! 😀

Yet again Cavendish proved courses less than 6000 yds can be a real challenge and Mackenzie didn’t disappoint. The scores reflected this with just 5 pairs on the day breaking Par. Putting was at a premium with some horror stories emerging with some 2 – 3 – 4 putts and even a couple putting off the green and back into the bunkers. Maybe asking for tough pins was a little too much for some.

Congratulations to our Winners Phil Davies ( Royal Lytham ) & Dan Smart ( Prestbury ) playing off 2 & 3 who managed to score 40 pts edgring out Brett & Adam with a better back nine of 20pts. The Win not only secured them the Callaway bags but also lifted them to the top of the OOM for the places on our trip to Spain.
