Results from Hexham – 2021 Golf Guide Tour

SPOILER ALERT!! 40 POINTS WINS THE COMPETITION!!!

Our annual trip to the stunning Hexham Golf Club in the North East proved to be one of the tightest battles we have seen on the Tour delivering excitement though to the last groups of the day. The course despite the rain over the last few weeks was in fabulous condition and although playing a little longer than normal we had a perfect day for Golf. The Green keeper set up some challenging pin positions but a fair test of golf for everyone.

The winners John Barnes ( Arcot Hall GC ) & Dave Walies ( Bedlington GC ) playing off 7&5 scored 40 points setting a good total to chase on a tough scoring day holding off all challengers with 4 other pairs falling just 1 short of their total. What made the day even more exciting, two of the last 4 pairs both had a putt on the 18th to win the place in the finals giving John & Dave a nervous wait.
